Arduaine, An Aird Uaine in Gaelic, meaning the green point or promontory, is a small hamlet on the shores of Loch Melfort. From several points along the A816 Lochgilphead to Oban road good views of the islands of Jura, Lunga ad Shuna can be seen. The sunsets can be spectacular here at any time of year. Arduaine is well known for its gardens, maintained by the National Trust for Scotland and famous for their displays of Rhododendrons and Azaleas in late spring/early summer.
